Video Editing
Adobe Premiere Pro
It had to be done in 8 hours.
There was no clear direction more than that it had to be epic.
I was given around 10 videos 2 hours long of entire shows of the artist.
I started by watching the material and understanding the key parts of her show, then finding those parts in those shows It was recorded in a more interesting way than just a general shot from the front.
The second step but maybe the most important part of the process was finding the right audio.
Epic was the word resonating in my mind therefore I knew that it was not meant to be a video with just a song as background.
Things to find:
1- Interaction of the artist with the public
2- A bit of music that was only played at the show and you would not be able to find it on ︎ or ︎.
3- crowd noises chanting her name.
So with all of that the process started by editing the music. Keeping in mind that the objective was to give it some structure so that it wasn't monotonous.
Then I gave the images a certain structure, that was a false beginning, a beginning, a middle part, a climax and an ending, all that in 30 seconds.
After that it was just a matter of giving it a good rhythm, applying sound and video effects. And watching it over and over again in order to adjust the details.
